It's a Mk1 VBRP the same as mine. Strong points are the leadscrew adjusting nuts and the more solid ways and larger table than equivalent Bridgeports. A fine feed dial on the head that is actually calibrated (although the wheel is missing on the one in the pics)

I have a Beaver VBRP, not the varispeed (that would have been nice, but not essential) with a 40 Int taper. They also come with 30 Int's, which is really too light for the machine. Check the table power feed works, and check for play in the table when it's at mid travel.

There are Imperial bearings in the machine (at least on the Mk 1 VBRP), but they aren't in the spindle. I believe that the Varispeed spindle and lower head are the same as the step-pulley spindle and lower head, in which case you need to remove the lock nut, clamp nut, felt pad and clamp washer from the spindle at the top end of the quill.
