We did no gears on them - mostly splines. One workstation had five in a cluster so that one operator could sequentially operate them all. When doing splines, the sequence ran as: Load the blank and start the cut on the first machine.

The correct Kearney Trecker rotary tables and dividing heads can be driven off the gearbox. This allows spiral milling, like making a helical gear. I will leave anything more technical than that to men like John, Ramsey and a few others here.

Looks like there won't be any conflict between the HBM spindle housing extention over the mill, or the mill table. Angled the mill about 30 deg. plus got better clearance for with drawing the gear cutting machine arbor. One shelf should eventually be moved but I have working clearance right now.
